We're incredibly proud to announce our involvement in the powerful short film, "Somewhere Near Nijmegen", written and directed by Kealan Ryan and Mark T. Ryan.
Our team handled the sound design, foley, and the final mix, which was meticulously crafted and delivered in our very own Studio 1.
This project offered a unique opportunity to authentically capture and recreate the sounds of World War II, allowing us to approach the film's weapon sounds with a heightened sense of realism.
"Somewhere Near Nijmegen" tells the poignant story of "Three American paratroopers [who] get shot down over Holland. Three German infantrymen become part of the effort to find them. All will discover that the flag they salute matters little to the gods of war." This compelling narrative, coupled with stunning visuals and our immersive sound design, has clearly struck a chord with audiences.
We're thrilled to share that "Somewhere Near Nijmegen" has won the prestigious Best Film award at the Underground Cinema International Film Festival! This recognition is a testament to the dedication and talent of the entire filmmaking team.
Even more exciting, the full film is available for free on YouTube and has now surpassed 1 million views! We encourage everyone to experience this powerful short and hear the impactful soundscape we created.
